GhostStoryArchive.org is a community-driven project dedicated to preserving ghost stories, haunted history, local legends, and unexplained experiences before they are lost to time. Created and maintained by the Greensburg Ghost Society (GGS) in Greensburg, PA, the archive provides a place where individuals can share their personal encounters while helping preserve the rich folklore of Western Pennsylvania and beyond.
Every family seems to have a story. It may be a haunted farmhouse, an unexplained voice in the night, a mysterious figure seen by multiple witnesses, or a tale passed down through generations. Whether you are a lifelong believer, a skeptic, or simply curious about the unknown, these stories are an important part of our shared cultural history. GhostStoryArchive.org exists to collect, organize, and preserve these experiences for future generations.
The Greensburg Ghost Society has spent years researching reported paranormal activity throughout Greensburg, PA, Westmoreland County, and surrounding communities. Through investigations, historical research, and public education, GGS has learned that many remarkable stories never reach the public. Our goal is to create a trusted archive where community members can safely share their experiences, explore haunted locations, and discover the fascinating folklore surrounding our region.
This archive welcomes more than traditional ghost stories. We also collect accounts of haunted homes, historic buildings, cemeteries, strange encounters, family legends, unexplained phenomena, local folklore, and eyewitness experiences. Each submission helps preserve another piece of history that might otherwise disappear with time.
Our mission is preservation—not proof. Stories published within the archive represent the experiences shared by those who lived them. While some reports may later become the subject of historical research or paranormal investigation, the purpose of GhostStoryArchive.org is to document and preserve these accounts with respect and integrity.
